Parents,
A sad and painful event occurred in our South Florida Community. The events in Parkland have caused us as an administrative team to review our safety plans. While this is something we do regularly, we did take an extra close look to ensure we are doing everything we possibly can to keep our school as safe as possible.

We are committed to ensuring that all of our students are safe at school. We want to continue to make Forest Hill Elementary a warm and inviting place for students and families. Here are some ways you can help:

If you are planning on visiting, call the Front Office ahead of time to announce your visit. The number is (561) 432-2301.

Try to have identification when you arrive on campus.

Prepare to use our intercom system when you arrive to explain the purpose of your visit. It is located right by the main office doors.

Report any suspicious activity immediately. If you see or hear something, say something!

Talk with your children about reporting to a trusted adult if they see or hear something. If you are in need of resources to speak to your children about school safety or the recent events, please contact our front office and speak with a guidance counselor or administration.

Finally, be patient as we try to make our campus as safe as possible. Expect a longer wait in the Front Office.

If you have any questions about campus security, please feel free to call me. I am always here to listen and discuss any school-related concerns.
